Hello! My name is Rosie, and I’m a 1-year-old solid liver GSP looking for my forever home. I came into rescue from a loving home, but unfortunately my owner could no longer care for me due to personal medical reasons. I already knew some commands like come, sit, and down. Recently I learned“shake”and I’m making great progress on “stay.” I’m a great listener and learn well with a little treat motivation and praise.

My foster family says there is no better word to describe me than sweet! I love snuggling with my humans and cuddling up with my foster dog brothers. I would love a forever home with a doggie sibling. I’m very playful and I think every dog wants to be my friend. Sometimes my puppy energy takes over, and I’m too playful and have to go in timeout at daycare to give my friends a little break from all my love. My favorite games are chase and fetch, and I love every type of toy — crinkly, squeaky, a ball, or a frisbee. I always try to fit two or even three toys in my mouth, so I don’t leave any behind in the yard!

I’m fast and love to do big zoomie laps to burn off my energy. In my previous home, I had a reputation as a fence jumper, and I still do that a little bit. I’ve jumped the 4-foot fence here a few times but only to try to follow my people to the front yard. I don’t jump the fence if I see people walking or biking on the sidewalk or to chase critters. I just don’t want my people to leave me! My foster family is working on fence boundaries with me and I’m doing better. When I first arrived in my foster home, I didn’t know how to walk on a leash. I’ve come so far since then! I love going for walks with my harness. I still pull a lot on walks but am getting the hang of walking straight and not zooming left and right to investigate everything. I used to be nervous about traffic but now I’m pretty used to the noise and distractions of the town. Of course, I’m spayed and up to date on my shots. Are you ready to add a sweet, gentle, and energetic friend to your family?Top of Form
