On Fri, Mar 27, the Ohio Dept of Agriculture served a warrant on a home in Mechanicsburg, OH. On the premises were 137 dogs, living in deplorable conditions. There were 35-40 German Shorthaired Pointers seized, and close to 100 Beagles.

These dogs have been living a life in filth, with little to no sunlight, not able to touch the grass. They will soon be on their way to bright futures.

Eight GSP Rescue groups around the country will be offering safe haven to these lovely dogs. GSPCA National Rescue has pledged to assist with their initial vetting and boarding, but due to the severe neglect of their former lives, most will also require treatment for conditions such as cherry eye, chronic ear infections, teeth extractions, skin infections, and much more.

We are asking for donations to assist with their care needs. Every dollar donated will be placed into a special fund for these dogs. The total raised will be allocated to the nationally affiliated GSP Rescue groups that have committed to their care and responsible placement:

Great Plains Pointer Rescue
GSP Rescue New England
GSP Rescue of New Jersey
GSP Rescue Pennsylvania
Illinois Shorthair Rescue
Ohio Shorthair Rescue
Texas GSP Rescue
Wisconsin GSP Rescue
