Amber is new to rescue, so we will post updates as we get to know her better. She is a pretty mellow girl who we pulled from an overcrowded pound, where she came in as a stray. She had obviously had a few litters in her young life, but those days are behind her now. If you are looking for a more laid back GSP, Amber could be the dog for you.

3 year old Armani is sweet, playful, energetic and so incredibly handsome. The photos shown here were taken only 3 days after surgery and he was begging to play fetch… and he is quite persistent about it, too! Armani came to us after being hit by a car and needing his front leg amputated due to nerve damage. We are certain that having three legs will not slow this boy down one bit.. he will need an adopter willing to make sure he gets the exercise he needs to keep him happy. Armani loves other dogs and all people, but because of his exuberant personality, we would only place him with older children (10 and up) as he may knock small children over. He is housebroken, knows “sit” and is very treat-motivated. He would do very well in obedience classes, which we recommend for all of our dogs.

This handsome boy is amazing is so many ways. Cody is wonderful with children and other dogs (even small dogs). He has lived with cats with no issue as well. He is currently trained on invisible fence and never challenges it. He refuses to get up on the furniture, even though the 2 other GSPs in his foster home are allowed. Cody is a sweet boy who loves affection and to just be near his people.

Meet Finn. We pulled this handsome guy from a gassing facility in Ohio, where he was brought in as a very thin stray running loose down a country road. He was full of intestinal worms and had either been running loose for a long time or had been neglected in his former home. But now he is living the life in a foster home where he gets all of the attention and love he could want, has a full belly everyday and is patiently waiting for his new family to come along and scoop him up. Could you be Finn’s new family??

This sad-looking boy is Jackson. His owner died unexpectedly and he is in need of a new home. He is 7 years old and very overweight, so he is now on a closely monitored diet and has lost 10 lbs in just 2 months! He has settled into his foster home wonderfully, allowing the children to hug him and use him as a pillow, playing with the foster’s dogs, and of course, begging for food… some habits are hard to break. Jackson has stolen the heart of every person he has met in rescue and is sure to bring the right family many years of joy, entertainment and cuddles… truly one of the sweetest dogs we have ever met. Jackson loves to go for walks just as much as he loves cuddling on the couch. Great with other dogs, cats and small children.

Sparky is new to rescue, so we will post updates as we get to know him better. What we can tell you is that he would make a wonderful dog for anyone involved in agility, dock-diving, flyball, or something equally athletic. This boy is always ready to go! He gets along well with other dogs and does enjoy playing with them. He greets people very enthusiastically, and for that reason, we would feel comfortable placing him in a home with children 10 years and older.
